DojoCon Australia will be an event by the CoderDojo community, for the CoderDojo community.
This event really needs the involvement of volunteers of all ages and experience levels to make the day a success.
WHO SHOULD APPLY?
We welcome all CoderDojo members who would like to be part of making Australia’s very first DojoCon happen! You could be a Ninja, a parent, a Champion, a Mentor, or community supporter. You don’t need to be involved in a Dojo to get involved and support this event.
ABOUT THE ROLES
There are numerous roles available, including manning the registration desk, helping with the coffee/tea area, ushering, helping people with directions, setting up, packing up etc. Plus there are several specialist roles that require some previous experience (see below). All of these roles are ESSENTIAL to the event.
This is a great opportunity to give back to the CoderDojo movement, be a part of something very remarkable, to make new friends, and to feel great about supporting Australia’s very first DojoCon. There’s also that amazing feeling you get from being part of a team creating such a special event.
ARE YOU 16 OR UNDER?
If you are 16 or under, we ask that your parent completes this form adds you to the application. Volunteers who are 16 or under will need to volunteer alongside the parent or guardian.
We will aim to run a volunteer briefing at the end of August. Time/location to be advised. This briefing session will not be compulsory but it will be a fun opportunity to meet the rest of the volunteer team for DojoCon.
