Getting There

Venue

The DojoCon will be held in and around Murdoch University Library (see the campus map here), on Murdoch University Campus, Perth Western Australia. We recommend that all attendees download the MurdochSafe app before they arrive. The app has a digital map and lots of other helpful information about the Murdoch campus. It also allows you to contact security if you have an emergency on the day: Download the MurdochSafe app

Public Transport

Murdoch University can be accessed by public transport (train or bus). Please see the list of Transperth services available. The DojoCon will be held on a public holiday so remember to double-check your train or bus schedule.

Parking

DojoCon will be held in and around Murdoch University Library (see the campus map here). Parking is available in CarPark 3. Pre-paid parking scratchies will be provided to anyone requiring parking for DojoCon. These will need to be displayed on your car throughout the day. Please park your car and then proceed to the scratchie table (top right corner of Car Park 3) to pick up your scratchie.

Overflow parking is available in CarParks 5 and 7, but you will still need to pick up a scratchie from the volunteer table in CarPark 3.

Accessibility

For those people needing special access on the day, there are disability parking bays available in Car Park 3 and our volunteers will be able to direct you to lifts and accessible pathways around the campus. Alternatively, security can provide a permit to park behind the Nexus theatre for easy access to DojoCon – please send us an email at dojoconau@coderdojowa.org.au to arrange this.

Guests from Far Away

Will you be travelling to the DojoCon from regional Western Australia, or another state?

DojoCon Australia is being organised by volunteers and our volunteer team cannot book or manage group accommodation for you. However, we recommend (if you are not staying with friends or family) – that you stay in Perth city nearish to the train station.

Here are some recommendations: Kangaroo Inn, Adina Apartment Hotel, Ibis Perth, and of course, AirBnb.

Murdoch University is accessible via public transport from the city. However, those staying in the city may prefer to share a private bus to the venue and back, particularly if you are bringing any equipment for a stall or workshop. Please email dojoconau@coderdojowa.org.au if you want to be included.
